Hello food lovers! Sate Taichan is the infamous street food in Jakarta. It becomes viral through the social media : Instagram and Facebook.

The famous Sate Taichan was introduced by Sate Taichan located in Senayan, South Jakarta. The difference between Sate Taichan and any other Sate is there is no peanut sauce in Sate Taichan, but you eat the satay pieces with sambal. The hotness level is different from one place to another places.

I ordered the nearest sate taichan in Kelapa Gading for my supper. Randomly, I chose Sate Taichan Mpe Gading, located at Jl. Hibrida via Go-Food.

The satay meat is clean, white, and not too roasted. The appearance is quite tempting and you must eat them with the sambal sauce. The aroma is very good and tempting. The fried shallot makes the aroma even better.

Since I like spicy food, for me, the sambal is not so spicy. So, for you who does not like spicy, you can try this Sate Taichan. The chicken meat was tender, grilled aroma and taste, and quite tasty. I can taste the meaty and juiciness. Delicious! Perfect for snacking time at night.

Overall, the Sate Taichan is quite good for me and unique because instead of peanut sauce, it is served with sambal. The spicy and meaty taste from the satay and sauce combine perfectly in your mouth. The white meat is tender, a little bit salty, and well-blended with the seasonings. Then, I eat the satay with the sambal which is sour and spicy.

Judging from the appearance, Sate Taichan Mpe Gading is clean and not oily. I don’t like oily food, so I like this satay so far. However, they need to improve the sambal because it is not spicy for spicy-food lovers.

For the price, it is quite cheap as compared to any other Sate Taichan’s brands.
