Hello guys! If you are interested in visiting a beautiful cafe without concerning the taste of the food, you are in the right place. However, if you choose to visit a cafe with delicious meal, then you better change the article to be read. I’m gonna post more of my OOTD photos rather than food and drink.

Onni House is a beautiful house, combining with the florist house and also selling vintage stuffs. All the flowers sold there are so beautiful. The decoration is so pretty, as if you are entering a small garden in a house. Actually, the house is not as big as I thought. You better do reservation via phone so that you don’t need to wait at the outside since the cafe is so crowded. Full of waiting lists. They have 20% discount for F&B until August 2018.

The decoration is too pretty to be missed. I love taking pictures in every corner of the house. I admit that the house is so instagramable. Better to use your standard lens rather than fixed lens because the space is quite small and you might drop some stuffs there. I wore a flower crown which was bought in Turkey (see my Turkey blog here) and a black robe with floral printing. I love my outfit because it is suitable with the decoration.

There are 3 sections for the dining area: indoor (the prettiest area), semi outdoor (vintage lokk and so crowded), and outdoor (smoking area). Since I did the reservation, Onni gave me the most instagramable spot. Yeay! Thank you Onni ♥

As for the food, I just order the main course and 1 appetizer. My friend said that there is Namelaka’s cake, but I was too lazy to wait for another queue because the food came out quite long. You must be patient if you order the food and I suggest you eat at the other restaurants or cafes for your lunch/dinner. The portion is very small.

Beef Rice Bulgogi (48k)

The presentation is pretty and tempting. The taste is quite good and the beef is tender. The sweet taste is dominating my palette. I think this is the best dish from all the dishes we ordered.

Nasi Iga Bakar Maranggi (78k)

The beef ribs is small and the meat was so few. The taste is actually quite good with its grill taste. The chili and tomato make the dish taste fresh. However, the taste is so-so.

Garlic Noodles with Dory Sambal Matah (48k)

Actually, it’s aglio olio pasta. The dory pieces is soooo small, placed on top of the pasta. The taste of the aglio olio is good, but nothing special. The dory’s meat is very small, covered by the batter.

Chicken Teriyaki Burger (58k)

The burger is small and bad for the presentation. The sweet and grill taste of the chicken is so-so. The chicken is tender. The burger is fast food restaurants are much better.

Salted Egg Fries (36k)

The salted egg spread is not so good. The sweet and creamy taste is actually like butter-sauce rather than salted egg. When you feel it at certain time, you might taste a hint of soft salted egg taste character. However, if my friend did not say that this is salted egg fries, I thought that it is just fries with cream.

Overall, Onni gives you a new dining experience in a flower house. They give you a beautiful place for doing OOTD photoshoot, but not for culinary experience. The foods are so-so; small portion; and pricey since the small and taste are below my standard. The service is not so good. Sometimes, you have to wait for more than 15 minutes for the food because the place is so crowded. However, I like the decoration of how they make this small house into this pretty small garden.

Three Beauties, Three Graces of Urgüp, Cappadocia

Hello everyone! I am so happy that I could go to Turkey, one of the most beautiful countries in the world. There are lots of naturally beautiful places for doing my hobby : PHOTOGRAPHY! in this journal, I share you my trip to Three Beauties or Three Graces in Urgüp; a village in Cappadocia

Three Graces are the brilliant three fairy chimneys located on Urgüp, district of Nevsehir. It is the most famous natural beauty and symbol of Urgüp. This amazing natural formation is well known not only its enchanting landscape, but also its incredible story. Thus, today many tourist coming from different countries visit here.

LEGEND OF THREE GRACES

There are two legends about the three graces :
When the tourists visit Urgüp, those unique fairy chimneys named Three Beauties grabs and fascinates them. Thus, they wander its mystic history.

Legend 1 : A family who turned into rocks

According to the legend, there was a king and his only daughter living peacefully together. After he lost his wife, the king began to be addicted his only daughter; the princess. He worried about her due to the fact that she was very beautiful and charming.

Hence, all men in the country wanted to be married her. However, the princess fell in love with a shepherd. The king disapproved that marriage and he decided his beloved princess to be married with a chosen man. However, she escaped from the palace and got secretly married with this shepherd.

After years, she give birth a baby. She thought that maybe his father forgive them thanks to their child and set off to the palace. However, the king did not mercy although they had a child. He ordered these soldiers to kill this family. When the princess run away those soldiers of the king, she prayed to the God: “Please, my God, make us either a stone or a bird.” The God accepted their prayer and they immediately convert into a stone (today’s fairy chimney called Three Graces). So, these three fairy chimneys (Üç Güzeller) symbolizes as the princess, her husband and her child.

Legend 2 : Three most beauty Goddesses

According to the Greek mythology, there were 3 beautiful goddesses in this world : Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. The goddess of Revenge, Nemesis, once turned into an old woman and gave a golden apple to these three goddesses. “Whoever eat this golden apple, she is the most beautiful goddess!” said Nemesis. These 3 goddesses felt that each goddess is the most beautiful one and thus, they asked Zeus to decided. Zeus did not want to claim it, later he told the goddesses to ask the most beautiful man in the world : Paris of Troy.

Hera promises to make Paris as the most powerful and the richest man in the world. Athena promises to give Paris all the wisdom in the world. Aphrodite promises to give the most beautiful woman in the world to be fallen in love with him : Helen of Sparta (later become Helen of Troy). Paris later gives the golden apple to Aphrodite and she asks the Cupid to shoot the love arrow into Helen. And thus, the Trojan war did happen. These rocks represent this 3 beautiful goddesses as they are so beautifully made by God. There is no other rocks that could carved like that naturally.

The people in Urgüp believe that those two legends are true. For me, the three rocks look like chimneys. Thanks God, I could see one of the most beautiful places in the world with amazing landscape. The sky is so blue and the view is so gorgeous.

There is a small bazaar (market) near the entrance. You must do shopping there because the gift shops only sell unique items. You will hardly find the similar items in another place. Trust me!

Tugu Kunstkring Paleis- CNY 2018 Luncheon

Welcome to Chinese New Year Luncheon held by Adelle Jewellery! Amazing lunch with all the girls, especially in this beautiful place. The restaurant is still under 10 year of age, but the building is already there hundred years ago, very historical. It was a gallery building during Dutch era in Indonesia and many historical stories happened in this place. You may ask the employees in the restaurant about the history of the building. Sounds interesting!

When I enter the place, I see a beautiful dining area, decorative arts of Indies, ‘aristocracy’ touch, with beautiful chandeliers, and old paintings. Okay, this is one of my most favorite fine dining restaurant since I love classical, unique, and beautiful place. Super love! There are many antique stuffs for the decoration.

When you go on the left side, you can see an oriental decoration area, lanterns on the ceiling, and a small bar. Then, on the right side of the dining area, you will find the artsy gallery. I like this gallery since there are many oriental-antique stuffs decorated the gallery.

Back to the main dining area, the dim light makes the place a little bit creepy at noon. If you like scary stories, then you must come to this restaurant in the evening. There will be a story telling about scary things happened in this place. Wow! For me, this is the right place to celebrate Chinese New Year, related to the decoration and ambient of this place. So peaceful and suitable for celebrating events. If you like to take many OOTD photos with elegant-glamorous-like, then this place can be added to your destination.

The restaurant gives us some choices of main course foods and drinks :

Kluwak Spare Ribs in Spicy Tamarind Gravy

This is must-try dish for Chinese New Year’s Eve reuinion. So perfect! The beef ribs are cooked in kluwak and another spices. The meat is tender, boiled, and meaty. Yummy!

Nasi Lemak Kunstkring

The rice looks small with many small dishes. The small ‘nasi lemak’ is accompanied by black baby squid, fried chicken wings, dried shrimps, crispy river baby fish, omelette, kangkung belachan, and pickles. Good taste, but not addicted.

Kway Teow Seafood Balacan

The presentation was good in which the fried kway teow is placed in the middle, while the oyster, shrimp crackers, and pickles are placed around the kway teow. The kway teow was very chewy (rubbery) and hard to swallow. The taste is actually good, oriental-taste.

Kunstkring Kluwak Fried Rice with Oxtail

It’s just a fried rice, cooked with kluwak gravy and topped with shrimps and bean sprouts. The taste is fine, but not as good as I thought.

Hot Japanese Green Tea

A perfect drink after eating the oily dishes. So calming.

Overall, with the so-so taste, I think this place is pricey. The place is awesome, but the selected set menu is not as good as I expected. However, many people like the foods served and maybe you can try another menu. I would like to go to this place again to try out another menu which are recommended by my friends.

Maybe it’s a little bit too late to say:

WISHING ALL OF YOU A BLESSING YEAR AHEAD AND BE MORE SUCCESSFUL!

I hope that I could be more positive in this year, be more grateful with what I have and receive as well as giving more than receiving. I just want to be happier and the others could feel the same way. For me, 2017 is a rough year to be a food blogger and I hope I can expand my blog not only about food, but also fashion, travel, photography, and beauty. As a woman, I could not deny myself that I really into fashion and beauty. Sometimes, I wish I could had more time to do different kind of makeup styles.

To start a new year, I went to Bogor for my short escape. Just to refresh my mind out of my heavy work and to think about my resolutions in 2018. I don’t want to just make the resolution, but I want to make them all happen, especially about photography. I did not realize that I love photography! Perhaps, photography tips on my blog? :p

Here are my travel outfit in Bogor. Hope you like my simple outfit 🙂

P.S: Sorry if you don’t like to see myself wearing a pair of sandals. For me, comfortable is No.1! In Bogor, you cannot predict when the rain comes. One day, suddenly the rain comes when we were in a small forest. If I wore wedges/high heels, I could get myself into a mess.

Tips: wearing your best sneakers, flat shoes, or just flippers in traveling. They are your best friends. You could find the pretty slippers in THIS IS APRIL or BERRYBENKA. They sell good leather slippers and comfy shoes with such affordable price 🙂

Popolo Coffee, Sentul

OOTD Spot

Hello coffee lovers! There is a hidden gem inside the Taman Budaya Sentul City, across the BCA Learning Centre. Popolo Coffee has 2 locations: Sentul and Bogor. I prefer to go to the former one since I saw in the instagram that the place is unique. It is like a glass-house in a wood. Such a beautiful place for photoshoot. The outside area is for smoking, whilst the indoor area is for non-smoking area.

Popolo Coffee

When I arrived at the glass house, there were so many people sitting there, taking pictures, and just taking a sip of coffee. Luckily, I got a small table in front of the coffee bar. For me, I was a bit disappointed since the place is not as spacious as seen on instagram. Moreover, the place was crowded although on weekday.

I admit that the place is simple, minimalist, monochromatic, and beautiful. I spent much time taking some pictures there.

I ordered a glass of matcha latte and the barista said that they could make any pictures that you want. I asked him to make a rabbit. Voila! A small blurred rabbit appeared on my matcha latte. Not as good as I expected

My friend said that the coffee was good, but I’m not a coffee lover. Hence, I did not try the coffee. Maybe you could visit this place and tell me what do you like from the food and coffee from Popolo?

Overall, Popolo Coffee offers you a beautiful and cozy place to hang out with your friends. You could spend hours there taking pictures or doing some work there. Oh yeah, you could also do colouring on a piece of paper and post it on instagram! Happy coffee guys!

On The Table Situation

Hello foodies! During the long weekend, my friends and I decided to spend our holiday in Twin House, Cipete, South Jakarta. The place is so instagramable with two identical yellow houses side by side. The area is not so big (it is so different from Instagram, though) and there is a space for picnic in the house yard! We were so exciting taking pictures outside and inside the house.

The house is not so spacious. Luckily, Twin House gave me the most instagramable corner! The corner is cute and there is a small swing at the corner. So sweet ♥

The Foods and drinks are good, especially the Nakula Iced Coffee and Sadewa Iced Coffee.

Iced Cubed Coffee

The difference between them Nakula dan Sadewa Iced Coffee :

Nakula Coffee (40k)

Nakula Coffee has hazelnut flavoured milk to be mixed with the iced cubed coffee. For me, the aroma and taste of the hazelnut are not detected when you mix the milk with the cubes. When you drink it, you will taste the creamy, milky, and the sweetness of the coffee. So good! I don’t like coffee, I like this one! The coffee is not too strong and less sweet. Superb!

Sadewa Coffee (40k)

Sadewa coffee is the ‘twin’ of Nakula. The concept is same with Nakula. However, Sadewa coffee has caramel cinnamon flavoured milk. You can see the cinnamon powder on the surface of the milk. The smell of cinnamon is quite strong and when you mix the milk with the coffee cubes, you will taste the cinnamon. The coffee is well-blended with the cinnamon milk. The iced coffee is good if you like cinnamon. Since I don’t like cinnamon, I prefer the Nakula Coffee.

Cappucino (35k)

The Cappucino is beautiful! The latte art is the common leaf-type, but it looks cute inside a pink cup. The taste is standard, like any other cappucino. If you like sweet, you must add more sugar.

Dory Salsa Matah (40k)

The appearance is like common Indonesian food, consists of rice, sunny egg, bakwan, and fried dory with sambal matah on top. The sambal matah is quite good, the more you eat it, you will sense the hotness. For me, the taste is quite tasty and the portion is enough for fulfilling your hunger.

Nasi Kebon with Churry Chicken Katsu (50k)

The appearance is dominated by yellow curry and green lettuce. Just like the name : Kebon (garden). The chicken katsu is on top of the rice. The taste is so-so, not my favorite.

Penne Alfredo Sauce with Salmon (50k)

This one is so creamy and milky. The salmon pieces are generous. For me, I cannot finish 1 portion since it is too creamy.

Penne with Animal Sauce (50k)

The penne is cooked with bolognese sauce. Better this one than the former one. For me, the dish is so-so, nothing special.

Monterey Chicken (60k)

I did not take the picture because this dish took so long to be served. The taste is quite delicious. The chicken is perfectly grilled with the melted mozzarella on top of it. This one is my favorite!

Overall, Twin House is a very good place for celebrating important moments; enjoying your time with your friends and family, or you can spend your time with your loved ones. The foods are not as good as I expected and the price is quite pricey. However, the iced cubed coffee is so good! For once in a lifetime, you can spend your weekend in Twin House. You can try the picnic spot to enjoy the nature and good ambience. Better to reserve 2 weeks before the Day (it was so crowded very weekends).

Chinatown Bandung

Hello travelers! Have you heard about Chinatown Bandung? It is recently opened on 4th August 2017. Located at Jalan Klenteng No. 41 (near Waringin School), Chinatown has been popular as the hype destination in Bandung. On 17th of August, the Chinatown is officially opened by the local government.

The Chinatown is easily spotted from the Chinese design of the building. You must pay for the entrance fee (information is below) and get 1 small bottle of mineral water. You can take a picture on the paintings before you enter the building.

When you enter the door, you can directly turn left to get in a small room with lots of oriental stuffs and a history of the Chinatown in Bandung. The ornament and design are very good and unique as if you are traveling in the ancient Chinese era.

Like any other chinatown places, there are many colourful lanterns. You can taking pictures in the afternoon or in the evening when all the lanterns are turned on. Very beautiful!

You must go up to a house to take some OOTD photos or just taking pictures of the beautiful view. There is also a red bridge at the center of the building which is so Chinese-style and instagram-able.

Inside the Souvenir’s Store

There are many souvenir stores at the right side of the building. Starting from Batik, kitchen tools, souvenirs, and also snacks. All of the stores are well-designed like in old Chinese era. You can also taking pictures at the ‘living room’ with jadoel-style home decor.

For the food, all foods are HALAL. So, don’t worry 🙂

Nasi Rames and Nasi Padang

Tahu Gejrot

The foods are mostly Indonesian street food, such as Es Dung Dung, Es Alpukat, Soto Ayam, Gado-Gado, Ketoprak, Nasi Goreng, Batagor, Tahu Baso, Baso Kuah, and fresh fruits. The price is ranged from IDR 10.000 to IDR 50.000/dish. I like the Baso Goreng and Nasi Lengko (traditional food from Cirebon).

For the Soto Lamongan, it is too salty. Actually, the seasoning is quite tasty, soupy, long-boiled, and meaty. However, since it is too salty, I could not enjoy the soto 😦

The Tahu Baso is more likely siomay in Jakarta. The taste is so-so and the peanut sauce is too spicy. If you cannot eat spicy food, better to avoid this.

All foods in Chinatown must be paid via Debit Card or Flazz BCA. No cash or credit card. This is the food court in Chinatown Bandung. Very beautiful, isn’t it? Old-fashioned, but so cool!
